Lee Man-Hee, Chairman of Shinchonji



Lee Man-Hee (Hangul: 이만희; Hanja: 李萬熙; born September 15, 1931) is a religious leader
from in the South Korea. According to the prophecies of Bible, he established "Shinchonji Church of
Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony," on March 14, 1984 and is the Chairman of
Shinchonji.



1. Birth 

Lee is a descendant of a Korean royal family with 500 years of tradition and was born in Gyeongbuk
Cheongdo, from a poor farming family on September 15, 1931. His name was given to him by his
grandfather after he had a dream, before Lee was born. He gave him the name "Man Hee (Hanja:
萬熙)", which means a complete and perfect light.

 

2. Career

* 1931 Born in Hyeonri-ri, Punggak-myeon, Cheongdo, Gyeongbuk, South Korea.
* 1948 Baptized by Baptist missionaries in Seoul without faith.
* 1957 Entered the community of Jondogwan.
* 1967 Entered the Temple of the Tabernacle in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi-do.
* 1980-1983 According to the Revelation 1:17-20, he was appointed by the laying of hands from
Jesus. In accordance to the command of Jesus, he sent letters to seven churches and fought against
the Nicolaitans, which had invaded the Temple of the Tabernacle.
* 14 March 1984 Established Shinchonji, the Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the
Testimony and New Spiritual Israel, the 12 tribes. Shinchonji means the New Heavens and New Earth
- as per Revelation 21:1. The name, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony is from
Revelation 15:5, and the 12 tribes are from Revelation 7:1-8.

 

3. Activities of Shinchonji

To spread the everlasting gospel, whose word was made flesh and was completed around the world,
Lee Man-Hee wrote books on the fulfillment of prophecies of the New Testament and published.
Among his works, the most important are: "The Creation of Heaven and Earth", "The Revelation and
Human Interpretation", "The Reality of Revelation", "The Acts of Jesus" and "The Altar of Truth I, II, III".

 
Founder
 
Lee Man-Hee has been founding and managing hundreds of free churches and Bible schools inside
and outside the country for any believers who are interested. Lee is the founder and director of 300
Bible schools around the world, offering thousands of classes.

To date, worldwide, there are over 85,000 graduates, approximately 20,000 additional students are
still learning, making this the largest Bible school in the world. His teaching is based solely on the
Bible. The Bible is the only basis of doctrine taught.

The Bible schools currently offered internationally are in 13 countries: USA, China, Japan, Canada,
Germany, Spain, Netherlands, France, Australia, South Africa, India, Philippines.

 
Each month, an average of 300 new students enroll. Last year there were nearly 20,000 graduates,
including hundreds of pastors who have accepted this doctrine as fact. The flow of students is not
decreasing. Compared with the other denominations in exsistance, Schinchonji is the world's most
important. Lee himself performs the closing ceremonies for graduates.

 
Preacher
 
Lee has conducted seminars in Korea, which reached up to 1 million people
(via television and the Internet) and were received with great enthusiasm.

 
As a true shepherd and the worries of a deeper understanding of the Gospels, he made two
pilgrimages to places of the New Testament events (Egypt, Sinai, Israel, Turkey, Greece, Rome, etc.)

 
Volunteer Services

1) Shinchonji-cultural: A group of artists who participate in national and international events
through artistic performances and voluntary actions.

2) Shinchonji Volunteer: Support for schools and social institutions by volunteer service.
